What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a lifestyle characterized by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone—people who are just starting out and people who have trained for years.
We believe that routine is the enemy of true fitness. For this reason we constantly vary our workouts mixing a combination of movements from each training modality, weightlifting, bodyweight and cardiovascular across different time domains in as many combinations as possible so we can get the greatest fitness response from our training.
The majority of the movements we use are movements that prepare us for the demands that we can expect life to throw at us.
Think of a deadlift as picking up your shopping bags, a farmers carry as carrying the same bags. We often run with a wall ball and think of it as being similar to having to run with a child in an emergency. CrossFit lends itself well to any given task or sport.
This is often the most misunderstood part of CrossFit.
Intensity is relative to each individual. Every workout and exercise can be scaled and adapted to each person's capacity guaranteeing that they'll receive the intended stimuli of the workout and work within their abilities whilst staying safe.This is where the notion that you need to get fit to start CrossFit, this is not the case, our Coaches can help tailor any workout to your needs.
Differ By Degree Not Kind
